DESCRIPTION:Broadband Nation Expo is an annual event produced by Questex (parent company of Fierce Telecom) and TIA. It was borne out of Questex’s inaugural U.S. Broadband Summit and TIA’s BEAD Success Summit. Based on the success of both summits\, and connecting it to the larger Broadband Nation program\, Questex and TIA decided to combine forces to transition to a much larger one-of-a-kind industry event that will take place next October 9 -11\, 2024 at the Gaylord Convention Center in Washington\, D.C. Broadband Nation Expo will unite broadband service providers\, equipment suppliers and other industry partners with local\, state and federal government leaders. The event is expected to draw over 1\,200 attendees and attract more than 100 sponsors/exhibitors. Broadband Nation Expo will be technology agnostic\, featuring all potential access technologies such as fiber\, fixed wireless\, DOCSIS and satellite. DESCRIPTION:Engineering Committee TR-8 formulates and maintains standards for private radio communications systems and equipment for both voice and data applications. TR-8 addresses all technical matters for systems and services\, including definitions\, interoperability\, compatibility and compliance requirements. The types of systems addressed by these standards include business and industrial dispatch applications\, as well as public safety (such as police\, ambulance and fire fighting) applications. \nMuch of the work of the committee relates to the formulation of TIA-102 Series standards for APCO Project 25. These are standards sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Officials International (APCO)\, the National Association of State Telecommunications Directors (NASTD) and agencies of the federal government.
